Your design on quailty goods
The trucker cap has been through a few lives – farm supply giveaway, early-2000s fashion moment, and now a staple that sits comfortably on a tradie, a barista and a streetwear label without looking out of place on any of them. It's the most requested cap we print, and it's not close.
The design is the reason. A structured foam front panel gives you a flat, firm surface that holds a logo properly rather than letting it sag into the fabric. The mesh back keeps your head cool through an Australian summer. The snapback sizing means one cap fits everyone, so you're not guessing at a size run when you order for a team.
Pick your shape and go from there:
There's a whole lot of technical stuff that goes on here but we're keeping it simple: the front panel is where your branding goes, and embroidery is what it's built for.
That firm foam front is genuinely the best surface on any cap for stitching. It holds the logo flat and square instead of letting it distort, which is why trucker caps come out looking sharper than a soft, unstructured cap with the same artwork on it. It's also what makes 3D puff embroidery possible – raised, sculpted lettering that lifts off the panel. It's the look you've seen on every good streetwear cap, and it needs bold, simple type to work.
A few things worth knowing before you design:
Want the same logo across the rest of your gear? Our embroidery service covers polos, hoodies, jackets and workwear, so it all matches from the cap down.
Nobody has to be talked into wearing a trucker cap, which is the whole point. It gets worn on weekends, at the pub and on the drive home, not just on the job. Our custom trucker hats are a hit with:
There's no minimum order quantity, so you can run one personalised trucker cap for a mate or a few hundred for a launch. Want just one? No problem. Unlike other providers, we don't force you into bulk orders. Snapback sizing means no size run to guess at either – order the quantity you need and they'll fit everyone.
Kitting out a whole business? Our business merch range covers caps alongside your polos, hoodies and workwear. Ready to bring your brand to life? Design your custom trucker caps today with The Tshirt Mill.
No. Order one cap or a few hundred. Bulk discounts kick in as your quantity goes up, but there's no minimum to get started.
Standard Production is 10 to 14 business days plus postage. New artwork needs digitising into a stitch file first, which is a one-off step at the start. If you need them for an event or a season, order well before you think you need to.
No. Mesh won't hold a print or a stitch, so all the branding goes on the front panel. That's the surface the trucker cap was designed around anyway – it's firm, flat and holds a logo better than any other cap.
The foam front panel on a trucker cap is exactly what 3D puff is made for. It works best with bold, simple lettering – thin type and fine detail don't hold the raised shape. Send us your artwork and we'll tell you whether it'll puff well or whether flat stitching will look sharper.
No. Trucker caps use a snapback closure, so one size adjusts to fit just about everyone. Order the quantity you need and don't worry about sizing.
Clean lettering, a wordmark or a simple emblem. Thread can't hold very fine detail or subtle gradients the way a print can. If your logo is busy, we'll usually suggest a simplified version for the cap and keep the full one for your tees.
A vector file is ideal. A high-resolution image works too – the higher the resolution, the sharper the result. Not sure what you've got? Upload it anyway and our team will check it before anything goes to production.
